1123 Moot 2 (Dragons) - Mullingar

 

Our Third venture to the surface this season was to be in Dragons lands and the city of Mullingar

 

Open prayers

The Dragons hosts of this moot would join us as prayers this night around their monolith of faith.

While travelling to the location we were joined by a group of Drow who had travelled from the city of souls and had come to worship Lolth alongside us. Though the city of souls had been a stronghold of Kanchelsis for some time and we believed under the control the elemental beings i would not restrict the showing of faith.

Words of faith for the Dark Elven pantheon and that of the Dragons echoed across the land. when the first of our underdark guests began they spoke in a way unusual for a follower of Lolth, but remained respectful until they called for Lolth to kneel before

I shall not name him here for he is known to use now only as the Betrayer.

Pure faith of the prayers broken they quickly fell beneath the blades of the faithful and patterns sent screaming into the daemon webpits of Lolth. Such fates will befall all who follow the Betrayer.

 

Great White Tree

The members of nations of the heartlands have received envoys and some visions from the ancestors regarding the Great White Tree in Taranaith to location the unicorns are rumoured to be hosting the coming Gathering of Nations. There is much discussion as to what should be done regarding this tree. We believe that its total destruction will release an enemy who would over run the combined might of the heartland nations as such the common belief is that we should destroy the tree in smaller sections and deal with the lesser threat.

We were visited by a pair of golden elves, Elder gazed who claimed to be protectors of the tree and wish it saved.

It is believed a complex rite may accomplish this though i do not know any further details

Later though visions we learnt that these elves are in fact a demonically possessed alien force who once sought to destroy the tree but Erdreja altered there minds to trick them to believing they were in-fact the trees protectors.

Below I shall list the sections of the tree and how our choice in the battle will affect things.

 

Canopy

Various members of the nation revived visions of a force marching though the underdark under an eagle banner destroying libraries and sources of knowledge.

- Destroying the would diminish this treat 

 

Trunk

We received a message from the plant mother, the flora and fauna of the underdark from which in part we rely on for food are becoming evermore restless again but are still under her control

- She advises that should be destroy the trunk of the tree this treat will be diminished.

 

Roots

By Destroying the roots we would protect our patterns and the ancestors

- The only choose for those you are loyal to the nation, for with our ancestors no enemy is to great and no trial arduous to overcome.

To act against the ancestors is to act against Lolth and such is Heresy, the punishment for this will be enacted upon the field of battle

 

Beast with 12 faces

Many amongst our nation received a vision of the Underdark will all going well, the vision then changed and we were coming across a beast devouring knowledge from any source available, the being then turned and one or more faces then looked upon the one having the vision. - Discussion found that the number of faces which looked upon the viewer was influenced by the scholarly nature of the individual.

ZigZigs message

Shortly after arriving on the surface we received an urgent message from ZigZig- regarding her infiltration of a cult. Lord Ironfounder immediately gathered those available and transported to investigate this communication. Though the expedition could be deemed a success with the information being retrieved the missions was a trap with vast sections of tunnels being collapsing behind the party.

 

Lolths trials for the Harp of Lothiriel

Moandiir

The Eyes of Lolth appeared on the first night on the surface.

The Champion of Moandiir My brother Morion V’rinn. Had long been absent from the surface. But knowledge Of Moandiir was not found wanting as members of the nation spoke about the aspect of corruption and unlife. The Avatar sought one to follow Moandiir’s path a member of House Eternal XXX who wished to learn more of Lolth stepped forth to learn and was blessed by Moandiir. But in doing so believing that the Moandiir required a new representative in the order we failed the trial for we gave on willingly to the corruption of the Betrayer. 

 

Zannasu

The Eyes of Lolth appeared again with an avatar of Lolths aspect Zannasu.

The Trial given simple Destruction. With no enemies in sight the in fighting began as the chaos spread all the while Lolth Name upon the lips of Thrax malleus Champion of the Order and devotee of Zanassu.

With friends and allies fighting the Avatar watch on its lust for destruction eventually sated for now they left with the trial a success.

 

Dark rumours have reached the ears of the faithful. Cults of the Betrayer are being found throughout the Underdark.

Those upon the surface are tasked with securing their cities while the armies and inquisition. Begin the holy purge of the Underdark.
