The Underdark, like all nations, requires a great deal of force to keep it safe. The armies of the Tarantula's primarily serve as peacekeeps (of a sort) that patrol and protect the main thoroughfare's betweens cities. There are some notable exceptions of course, with some of the armies being experts in their particular field of war they are deployed to resolve very specific threats and incidents.
Tarantula 1st Army
The Queens Guard
General: Lord Barron Ironfounder
This army is the traditional army held by the Val'sharess. However as there is no current Val'sharess on this plane, the Will of the Throne, Lord Barran Ironfounder is leading the army.
Tarantula 2nd Army
General: Sal'ue Keltormiir
The 2nd army is a specialised light ranger unit. Fast and agile, the dark elves of the 2nd are amongst the best fast response teams in the Underdark.
Tarantula 3rd Army
The Spider Reavers
General: Yaskel Shiang
The spider reavers are famed amongst the tarantula armies for their skirmish and guerilla warfare tactics. They are experts at infiltration and pacifcation.
Tarantula 4th Army

This army has been destroyed, its army assignment has been reserved as a matter of respect.
Tarantula 5th Army

Formerly of House Mlezzir, based out of the City of Souls
The 5th army was sent to reinforce the city of Shindlyn, it is believed the armies demonic captains were compromised there and the remaining troops mutinied and abandoned their duties to the Val'sharess

The 6th is an army typical of the Underdark, it's troops represent a large amount of the Underdark.
The 6th is also outfitted with siege equipment.
Tarantula 7th Army
General: Thrax mallius
The 7th is an army typical of the Underdark, it's troops represent a large amount of the Underdark.
Tarantula 8th Army
Paladin Order of Lolth
General: Zan'sas V'rinn
The army of the Paladin Order of Lolth is composed of the most faithful soliders of Lolth, and typically led by a number of Ancestral soldiers filling captain's postions throughout the army.
The 8th is also outfitted with siege equipment.
Tarantula 9th Army
General: Q'otha
The unliving army of Nakkiga is currently led by the barrow wight Q'otha. Famed for their resilience, and fast response abilities, the 9th is one of the most feared armies within the Underdark.

This army has been missing for many years, and all are presumed dead. Its army assignment has been reserved as a matter of respect.
Tarantula 11th Army
General: Forr'O'Fyve El'Stire
The 11th is an army typical of the Underdark, it's troops represent a large amount of the Underdark.

Tarantula 13th Army - DISBANDED
General: Aeshma
This force was previously controlled by Aeshma of The Wardens of Alhamet. Upon leaving the Tarantulas the army was officially disbanded. It's assignment has been reserved as a matter of respect.

This is a new force of unliving that was gifted to the faction and have been drafted into action in the war aginst the demonfey.
Composed of skeletal warriors, they are incredibly resilient to the harshest environments.
Tarantula 15th Army

A mix for races and troops made homeless by recent wars. No real specialisations and few trained in front line fighting, but frequently used for scouting and espionage.
