House Karrash-MorrHouse Karrash-Morr

House Karrash-Morr are direct descendants of Clan Faerondarl of the Aquilari Bloodline.

This ancient House have been entwined in Tarantulas history since its first matron mother Ashira Karrash-Morr was born to the union of Lyandr Cancarneyar and Serafia Altath. The house has a strong tradition of working with other races and it is common for the nondrow nobles of the house to equal and even outnumber the Drow members when attending surface gatherings, as this ensures that the house's activities aren't just limited by the prejudices that are faced by the Drow.

Well known for their contacts and allies outside of the faction, the House now fulfil a diplomatic role for the Tarantulas, and it has been many years since there was a command structure of the Tarantulas that did not involve a member of the Karrash-Morr bloodline or house.

Recent History

Lolth's Chosen

In recent times since the creation of the Tarantulas faction as a means of achieving aims on the surface, even as many of the Drow now decline to attend the surface meetings, the Il'haresses of the House have proven Karrash-Morr's supremacy by being chosen as the Val'Sharess of the Tarantulas faction, with both Al'De-ath and Ginafae (who was welcomed into Karrash-Morr after House Talos were brought down) achieving this highest of honours.

The Bloodbath of 1104, known as 'The Black Moot'

It was during Al'De-ath's reign that her own brother and second in command, Warlord Hellbron, was assassinated by Egg of the McYokel clan of the Bears; tricked into transporting the Unliving Warlord to the Planes of Life, killing him instantly, by the command of the Jackals. The Val'Sharess' fury and retribution sent shockwaves through the realm.

The Tarantulas and allies went for the Bears first as Egg was highlighted as the assassin, the Jackals (who the Bears were guesting with) stood back and watched. It was only when the chosen captives of the Bears highlighted that this was a Jackals plot, that the Tarantula nation and allies returned and the Jackals command, along with a vast number of their faction, were executed, their patterns dedicated to Lolth as an example to the other nations of Erdreja. The Bears did not heed this lesson and the same year turned on the Tarantulas on the final battlefield, attacking us from behind when acting as our reserves.

The resulting vengeance slaughter still lives on in the nightmares of the few Bears who survived. There was not a single clan of Caledonia that did not suffer loss at the hands of Al'de-ath's unquenchable rage over the loss of her sibling and nearly a decade later, the Bears are yet to recover their lost strength.

The Crimson Guard

This former unit of mixed-race elite troops previously comprised of half of the council that ran Do'Bluth. Fiercely loyal to the city they had helped to construct over the centuries, their attitudes towards war and the surface realms blended so well with the Karrash-Morr desire for conquest that an accord was struck, allowing them a full say in everything that happened in the city. Upon the Ilharess being chosen by Lolth to lead her faction, the Guard ceded their control of the Houses affairs in return for dominion over the peasant quarter, a request that was granted, allowing the Drow to assume full control of the City. Barran Ironfounder speaks on their behalf to this day.

The Gathering 1099

The greatest Gathering to have ever happened was held in Do'bluth in 1099, under the leadership of Il'haress Al'De-ath Karrash-Morr, who was chosen by Lolth to be Val'Sharess the following year. Events of note included Goblin work crews who always seemed to be on a tea break, the finest ritual circle Erdreja has ever seen wardened by Elkantaar, the outlawing of the Gasherim and their final destruction, and the murder of the Arch High Incantor in the middle of the ritual circle (which made for great entertainment.)

Summer Moot 1113

It would be 14 years later that the surface nations were once again invited to visit Do'Bluth, but this time it would be a very different city. Due to the surface nations abject cowardice, much of Do'Bluth's facilities hadd to be re-located to the surface or Orknejar, the lands above the city for them to be willing to visit. All the facilities to be expected of the first house were present, however the Ritual Circle itself had undrgone many changes, and the magical influences now prevailent within the house meant that the corcle's attunement had changed over the last decade, and especially since the last Cataclysm. Under the stewardship of Alighieri (known to most as 'Number One'), Do'Bluth now possesses a major Daemonic circle guarded and maintained by the Daemons of Do'bluth, now resident in the region and guardians of the cities magical fortunes.
