The WardensThe Wardens are a mixed collective hailing from the Southlands, far away from the great Underdark houses of the Tarantulan Nation. They are comprised of mixture of races, though most that come to the surface are of either human or Void-based descent. Followers of the Ancestor Ishmael, the Wardens have proved time and again their loyalty to the faction, with a storied history delicately intertwined with that of the Tarantulas.

Origins

As with most stories there is an element of mystery about the true origins of the tribe, existing in other forms and names until late in the 16th century of the third age, when they took the name 'The Wardens'. In their current guise and form, they officially became members of the Tarantulan Nation in 1099AF, under the leadership of the brothers Saul and Gabriel. They gathered around them a small but effective and loyal collection of individuals and proclaimed themselves the 'Wardens of Dobluthe' after purchasing land from Illharess Al'Death Karrash-Morr herself in 1102AF.

Recent History

After four years of service to the Faction and Guild of Scouts, Saul and Gabriel find their third brother who has taken the beast-kin 'Cries-of-Freedom' as his chosen host, reuniting the three Sons of Ishmael since their banishment to the void some six centuries previously. They lead the Wardens back to the City of Al'Hamet, having discovered it enslaved by the infidel Juandel in their absence. Following a series of battles with Juandel and his forces, they found themselves successful and reclaimed Al'Hamet as their own.

The following years delivered many tragedies upon the Wardens; first Nathaniel was slain by murders, Saul fell to a Conclave assassin and in the wake of the loss of his brothers, Gabriel was summoned to the Black Lake by Ishmael, disappearing below its oily black surface.

Departure

In the Spring of 1115, the Wardens made the decision to part ways with the Tarantulan nation and move their aliegiance to the Jackals. Since then, the groups relationship with the Tarantulas has remained strong, their many years of service not forgotten.
