Echoes
There are changes in the Underdark. Strange caverns previously sealed to us have been opened.
The Chaos Storms are only held at bay by the will of the Valsharess and the power of the Telantiwar Crown she bears upon her head.
With the quest set upon him by Lolth to restore the Throne of Telantiwar and protect her people Tathal has decided to lead the warband personally to investigate these new lands for aid in his quest. The Valsharess is dying poisoned slowly by the Crown of Telantiwar which barely contains the magical storms raging in the Underdark.
The Tarantulas search desperately for answers.
What are the origins of this crown?
Why does the Cube seem desperate to enter the ancient city of Telantiwar where no beings bar the Bael Norn can survive?
How can the Valsharess' life be saved?
Will you lend you strength, wit and faith to aid them or will you sit idly by as the land beneath your feet burns and horrors unknown are released..
Attention members of the Tarantulan Empire and allies
Upon our last surface meeting we recovered a strange item of power, a crystalline flower which seemed to posses the ability to diffuse power flowing through it. This item is not carved or manufactured but is a naturally grown creation, existing within the Underdark. Located with the flower was the following message:
“If you have passed our tests sufficiently you may now begin in earnest. You have in your hands a token given to us by a being of immense power, a flower of the crystal forest. When you are ready to rebuild that which Triel destroyed, it must be taken to her home and presented to her. She will judge you further and if you pass her tests then you may begin on the path to rebuild the Empire as it should have been. Your path is before you child of the Empire. We have ensured that upon….. there are sufficient tests to end your pathetic life if you are not worthy. Take this flower and begin your quest.”
Through delving through old archives Miso informed me that he believes that the only mention of an area that these crystalline structures exist is called Ty’Vanna, located in the North Eastern Underdark, beneath Norsca. It is here that I expect we can discover the “being of immense power” that gifted the first flower and continue our crusade to reclaim the Tarantulan Empire.
Bring your knowledge, bring your faith and bring your might to support us as we retake our homelands, seek a cure for the Valsharess and aid her in the fight against the chaotic energies to reclaim the throne of Telantiwar.
