First off, the expedition was a success, we got the body parts we came for; but it did not start off well. About two miles off shore the ship was swarmed by creatures of the deep, who ignored us and attacked the supports of the ship, sinking it. We all washed up in three groups. Once we all regrouped, we discovered that the Val'Sharess, Tarren and Tathel were all mising. Upon this dire news we made are way to a tent we found set up. Maliki assumed command of the expedition. Each group had found items pertaining to the missing persons, the Val'Sharess's shield, Tarrens coat and Tathals helmet. A location rite was done on the Val'Sharess's sheild, and a group was set off in the direction the rite pointed us to. The group found a number of item, the Val'Sharess's mace and what looked like her scarfe, and a number of items that would be needed so we could leave the island. Later that nit we were attacked by the same creatures that attacked and sunk the ship. We were also approched by envoys of the king of the sea elves, asking why the treaty, that they negotiated with the Paladins of Lloth who origally came and buried the body parts, was broken. They left after talking to Maliki, I don't know what was said but on saturday night another group came down and asked to talk to the Paladins of Lloth, to which Zansas spoke to them.

On the saturday, Tathal came running into the encampment. The Val'Sharess, Tarren and himself were on a seperte island off the coast. He ordered us to find a way off the island as soon as possible, then went back the the Val'Sharess. Over the corse of the weekend we had to complete test in order to re-activate the circle. Each time we passed a test we got an item that would help re-activate the circle. Over the corse of the day we were attacked by various creatures. We were also visited by the kings son, who said his dad was going insane, and asked for help. The rest of the day was spent defending the camp and completing the tasks. In the evening Tathal returned and said that the Val'Sharess and Tarren were safe, on their way back to the mainland, and he'd come to help. Maliki's wife left the island on the friday night, stating something was annoying her, which became apparent in the evening. The Betrayer was able to exert it's influence over the island, to the point we the unliving in the faction were fighting off its attemps to control them. It also caused any unliving who wore the crown of unlife to instantly become controlled by it.

On the sunday we were visited by the king of the sea elves and his son along with an entourage. It was at this point we killed the king and sided with the prince. With that done, we re-activated the circle by repairing the tablet that was collected during the tests. We then left the island and arrived in the Couldren of Faith.

On Sunday morning, Tathal told me, Zansas and Morgulin that he feels the presence of the Betrayer stonger than before. He walked into the sea as a precautin, that if he is consumed while battling for his soul, he will do as little damage as possable. It is of my oppinion that Tathal is treated as aa agent of the Betrayer until we can confirm whether he is himself or if he no longer is Tathal.
