Through a Mirror Darkly

 

The Goal.

Our force had setout to reconstruct the mirror of Lothiriel which is needed to return a member of the Cancarnyar blood line back to there Elven form. This will be used in conjunction with other elements and witnesses to crown Lord Iron Founder

Entering the tunnels

After transporting in The force set off towards the Academies, it was clear the tunnels were still unstable and after an hour the forces were split as the roofs collapsed. Myself and War mistress Rizexi were isolated with a group of Gryphons and proceeded on, with faith that the others in the warband would find a new path. Preceding through the Underdark we found evidence of nearby camps and were able to retrieve documentation which once translated gave us knowledge of the going on in this region of the Underdark. 

Later corridors were filled with construction apparently designed to destroy dwarfs, the first we took down to investigate but after the party was largely quiet enough to "sneak" past these constructs. until eventually we could hear the din of battle exiting the tunnels into a cavern and joining with our lost forces.

Gathering the mirror shards

The mirror the reconstruction of the mirror involved groups travelling through The frame and undertaking various challenges. I myself experienced a shard of the mirror guarded by an being of spirit and immense power which was overcome but the fight was close

Scout from the 1st Army

We received from a scout who was verified that the Dwarfen forces of xxx were gathering and would likely to have gathered in sufficient strength to an attack the next morning. The scout was then dispatched to summon further assistance to the area.

Offer of assistance - Akari

Late in the evening Durge of the Akari came with an offer of assistance and what schemed with a reasonable price. One of the forces what assaulted our position was another faction of the Akari a Dwarf named XXX the deal was simple hand over the body of XXX still living. In exchange for there assistance in the coming fight. I supported Iza on this course of action though some visitors to our campaign warned us not to treat with the Akari at all. However, with some of our allies called away on urgent matters depleting our forces the decision was made to accept the deal.

The being with many faces

Some were called into the darkness to speak with a creature seeking knowledge, it would appear that a number would certainly for a time forget the subject what they spoke about..

Akari - A deal broken?

Durge was true to there word and sent a death knight to aid on in the in the fight against the Dwarf and battle was over by the time i returned from scouting the area. I was to learn that the body of the dwarf had been handed over "Alive" but bleeding to death and as such would be dead when returned to Durge. This was done and under the direction and with full knowledge of Iza.

The Rite

The components collected and pieces of the mirror High Ritualist Brissis performed the rite to reconstruct the mirror of Lolthiriel.

Perhaps sensing the power unleased the remaining hostile forces in the area attacked the following battle would swing back and forth and at this time Lolth chose to smile upon her Faithful. The scout from the 1st returned, a route out had been cleared though the tunnels and was being held by a force from the 1st army but the route was drastically unstable. I quickly arranged for our forces to fall back through the route ensuring non were left behind.
