An attack on Lolth

 
As would become a regular occurrence as night fell forces attacked the nations of the heartlands there purpose to conduct a rite and bind the leader of that camps pantheon to "the land" we assisted there other nations and were able to stop the rites completion in our own camp though it was a close run thing. Unlike we learnt the Unicorns, Jackels and Dragons as well as perhaps others.

 

Order rite

To support our pantheon and protect the grove, The Order of Lolth brought together her loyal servants to perform a rite to give power in defence of the grove.

 

The Grove

It has been some time since my last visit to the grove the sight of Lolth Tree is as always magnificent. Two things of note however were the what could be described as pond weed held back by the defences not having penetrated the grove itself. However, the most disturbing was that the tree of the betrayer had grown, it appears our efforts to crush his followers have not been as successful as we had thought.

Evening assault and the Assassins

As the evening drew in forces attacked the nations which were repelled by the forces of the nation of Erderja but unbeknownst to us using the cover of this assault a small force of what would be discovered as agent of the Betrayer approached the camp first a pair then some others looking for the leader of our nation. Only Mave of house Morgan would challenge this group. new to the surface she was used to seeing dangers and challenging the unknown while other simple sat and let them search the camp. This would cost Mave her life.

Lolths Anger

Despite our support for the pantheon the "Pond weed" had some how penetrated the grove and alongside the other addition Lolth sent a warning in the form of her Hand maiden to instruct us and give dedication in the form of blood.

 

Faction Prayers

The nation came together for faction prayers all of the pantheon were named and spoken of while Kargan of House Micar performed a sympathetic rite and gathered the power of those present to gift the ancestors to protect the grove.

The grove guardian returned to report that the Weed has indeed penetrated the grove much further than before. It was noted that the tree of Kiransalee had diminished and was surrounded by a golden aura.

Final battle - Avatar

For us to truly comprehend the importance and the treat posed by this alien influence Lolth chose to send an avatar as a focus to our efforts throughout the following battle we saw that the Avatar came to no harm they witness our Faith and the use of the strength gifted to us and once the battle was complete and the alien forces brought low and dedicated in her name the avatar satisfied left once more to join Lolth side.
