1123 Gathering (Unicorns) - Taranaith
Our Final venture to the surface this season was to be hosted by the Unicorns in the Ancient Elven City of Taranaith.
Lolths trials for the Harp of Lothiriel
Zinnzerina
The Avatar Of Zinzerina came forth again with an unexpected second trial, this trial would come with a cost the Life of a Priestess of Lolthiriel and future Paladin Priestess and descended from the Altath blood line. We were told that they were of our nation. Once the camp was searched i lead a force of the nation out to search of this priestess. Thinking they would be at the shrine of Lolthiriel in the ritual area we headed there first. But the target was not there, moving though the guilds however, an elven maiden was spotted i approached and simply asked there name as the name of Altath left there lips i landed the fatal blow, the body was quickly retrieved and brought back to camp, for dedication. The Trial was successful.
The Final trial
The Handmaiden appeared in camp once again and accompanied by the Eyes of Lolth. this time accompanied by Yai Kenafin Eternal champion of Megwandiir my Patron. The .. My Final trial was to lead the faction out on a hunt for worthy pray and to assist Khaz'ress was returned to us. Gathering a pack together we proceeded to scour the area around Taranaith though pray was found, it was not worthy, the trail somewhat fatefully lead me to the camp of the Gryphons nation, Our apparent allies in the Battle with Triel. There cries of panic at our approach were quelled. I challenged a member of their nation A warrior bedecked in Plate who appeared to shine in the darkness and challenged them to a duel, the battle lasted long and Lolth was indeed satisfied and the fight ended, I have since learnt this was a paladin in service of a lesser ancestor of the Gryphons.
Triel & Brand
Triel would Attach the Gryphons and attempt to declare war upon the faction. The Tarantulas would march as a faction to thwart this and defend the Gryphons camp. In a mirror of Triels actions Brand would also attach our faction on behalf of the Gryphons, repaying our assistance the Gryphons moved to support the Tarantulas as forces of brand attached our camp.
The cost of the purge
The armies of our nation after the events at the Summer moot were dispatched and scoured great sections of the Underdark, the orders were simple, seek out and purge followers of the Betrayer. The armies were zealous in there actions with many cells of the Betrayer purged. This would disrupted the general populous who would came to the surface for reparations.
Zig Zig - Gnosis
Our first Night on the surface Lord Iron Received word from the mage Zig Zig that a force was urgently required to stop the Gnosis from acquiring the mirror of Lolthiriel which had been found and moved to a place worthy of its care, drawing to him all he was able the force transported to the Underdark to thwart this undertaking. What I've been put together is that after the forces clashed the mirror was damaged and this resulted in the tunnels collapsing and crushing the invading force, a small victory. As the route to the Shrine is now blocked and may take several months to safely excavate.
City in Unrest
Corrin looks to still be consolidating power and there appears to be resentment from those in the city about being ruled by a human male of all things. Such is the way of the Underdark in these times and all at Lolths will.
Our enemies plans foiled
Over the course of our time on the surface Of forces of Triel would attack the Gryphons Nation and likewise the forces of Briar would attack our nation in the name of the Gryphons. Each time our nations would come to each others aid and defeat the forces sent against us.
Battle results & Iza
We were aware of the Canopy, Trunk and Roots, but a fourth option existed and so the forces of The golden Dwarf Gazran took the field with the aim of destroying the entire tree and fully releasing th alien entity within. The nations of Erdreja would be somewhat evenly split between the Canopy and the root, Knowledge and faith with a smattering of bodies standing for the trunk one of those was Iza Darkblade who in the mists of battle would be sought out and ejected from the field so she could not stand against the Ancestors further. The forces of Erdreja would stand and thwart Gazrans forces and ultimatly the Faithful would carry the day seeing the Ancestors kept safe.
