Residence

Currently resident in Caledonia, but the caravans that the Magpies travel in are currently being sighted in and around the Grand Bazaar. This may indicate an intention to set up a permanent base nearby, or merely that the ranks of pickpockets in the region will not soon run low.

Leadership

The Magpies have always been ruled by a council of 5 aspects. The two highest members, the Heart and the Mind, are very passionate and very logical, and guide the whole group. The Eye, the Beak, and the Talon are the rest of the council, and each have their own area of interest. It is understood that the Talon is in charge of internal security as well as the Magpies order in battle. 

Recent History

For the last 5 years the Magpies have been members of the Bears faction, until 1120 when they rejoined the Tarantulas. They were originally given permission to leave and wander among the surface nations by Matron Ginafae, and initially spent two years with the Unicorns, but were feared and ostracized, and eventually betrayed, with a small number of them seemingly killed by their own faction, although an investigation by the unicorns into their own actions unsurprisingly found nobody guilty of any crimes, with all witnesses swiftly being silenced.
