The most powerful, but limited, form of magic is that of the Ritualist.
Ritualists have the ability to weave the elements into complicated patterns and manipulate the very building blocks of life when within sacred sites known as Ritual Circles, and to perform magical Rites at other times to create other powerful effects. This is by far the most complicated and dangerous form of magic, but is also by far the most rewarding and addictive.
An Introduction to Ritual Magic

Ever Had a Wish?
Have you ever wanted to stand in front of an audience, take a deep breath and command the attention of the Dragon herself? Ever wanted to be a conduit of the cosmic energies of outer space? Ever wanted to shred someone's pattern, infuse it with power and fuse it all back together again simply because you were curious about how they would look with a cool set of horns?
Have you ever wanted to take a wish, and have it granted?
All this and more is yours to behold when you step into a ritual circle, open the seal up to the void above and become the single most powerful entity in Erdreja for seven hundred heartbeats.
Heed these lessons below and I will tell you how.
The first lesson you must learn is that ritual magic isn't just power; it is about your connection to the Dragon, Erdreja. She is the embryonic sentient core of the Egg. Juvenile and childlike in her curiosity, it is she who has the power to grant you your wish.
Like any child, she scares easily, confuses easily and, most importantly, bores easily. We ritualists have limited time to prove that we deserve what we ask for and the rewards can be truly spectacular, but if you fail to entertain, or make your request clear you risk paying the ultimate price for both yourself and your contributors as she will flush you and your contributors out into the void without warning if you displease her.
This makes ritual magic is the most exhilarating but dangerous power a mortal can ever wield; capturing the heart of a Dragon.
But you wont be alone. This magic requires followers, believers or descliples who trust you enough that they will literally walk into the void at your request, knowing that you will protect them. Collectively known as 'contributors', these are vital to even the greatest masters of circle magic and it is they who add the colour, the life, the character and, most importantly, the power to your ritual. This power may be yours to manipulate, but they are the conduits for you to access it. Use them wisely as if they do not do enough to entertain her, the Dragon will ignore them and they will count for nothing.
